Faulkner Joins The Frey-a

Maldon & Tiptree are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Freya Faulkner. The 16-year old shot stopper joins us on a dual registration basis from Billericay Town.

A product of Baddow Spartak’s Wildcats programme, Freya spent the 23/24 and 24/25 seasons at Ipswich Town under-16s side.

She then moved to Billericay where she joined their under-23s set-up. Her abilities have also been recognised at county level, having represented Essex under-16s 4 times in the 23/24 campaign.

Speaking about the move, Freya said: “I have heard about the club. Even though they are a new team, they seem well established and the future for the women’s game at Maldon seems exciting!”

Manager Jody Buckley was pleased to get Freya’s signing over the line, adding: “I’m really pleased to welcome Freya Faulkner to our talented squad and thank Billericay for allowing the dual-signing. With a huge run of games still to finish our inaugural season, adding additional quality is imperative both for now and the future, both outfield and in the GK platform. Freya will provide great support and bring another strong dimension to the Jammers juggernaut.”
