Whitehawk: Match Preview – 12 September

The Jammers are back at home this Saturday as we welcome Whitehawk to the Maldon Stadium for another big afternoon in the Isthmian League Premier Division. Kick-off is at 3pm. The club’s first game since the club was taken over on Tuesday 8th September.

After an encouraging start to the season and now with two games in hand, Maldon & Tiptree will be looking to make home advantage count and pick up another important three points in front of the Jammers faithful.

Whitehawk make the trip from Sussex still searching for their first league win of the campaign, so they’ll arrive determined to put points on the board. That should make for an entertaining contest as both sides look to continue building momentum in the early weeks of the season.

The match day programme for today’s fixture is available online.

The Last Meeting

The last time Maldon & Tiptree and Whitehawk met in a competitive fixture was in the FA Cup Third Qualifying Round replay on 4 October 2011, when Maldon & Tiptree won 2-1 at home. The original tie, played three days earlier at Whitehawk, finished 0-0, forcing the replay in Essex. So Saturday’s match will be the first meeting between the clubs in nearly 15 years.

Owners Q&A Session
