The Jammers return home on Saturday 21 March, for remarkably what is their only home game in March 2026, sandwiched between a collection of away matches. On Saturday in the Isthmian League North, the Jammers face Bowers & Pitsea, who themselves are in the hunt for promotion. Can the Jammers repeat the result of their last home outing against Brightlingsea Regent and maintain their impressive record at the Drewitt-Barlow Stadium?
Kevin Horlock’s side hope to take back the league’s top spot with a win putting them ahead of Felixstowe, should Felixstowe fail to win their game. The goal difference advantage over Felixstowe still puts Maldon top of the league even with Felixstowe getting a point against 7th place Redbridge. The Jammers will be hoping to get back to winning ways after a midweek, goalless draw against Wroxham, away from home – the second nil-nil between the two sides this season.
Bowers Leading The Form Guide
Bowers currently sit in 4th place with a 3-point cushion in the play-off spots and a hefty goal difference advantage over the teams just outside. Pitsea are top of the Isthmian North Form Guide over the last 10 games, winning 8, drawing 1 and losing 1 – Bowers will come to the DBS hoping to strengthen their play-off hopes and are set to provide a real test for Horlock’s Jammers.
The Last Meeting
The last time the Jammers faced Pitsea was on Saturday 6th December, at the Len Salmon Stadium and waited until the 92nd minute to claim all three points. A double from Anisus Lewis was enough to claim the victory, despite Bowers equalising in the 83rd minute from ex-Maldon man, Renee Batlokwa.
One To Watch
Jonathan Evans is one to watch as the top scorer for Bowers, now Mikey Faulkner and Ross Wall have joined the Jammers. The forward is on fine form, with 4 goals in his last 2 games, with 2 in 2 against both Lowestoft Town and Waltham Abbey.
Getting to the ground and ticket information
The turnstiles will be open from 12pm, with the Jammers Sports Bar opening its doors at the same time. Kick-off is at 3pm.

Live Premier League action will be shown in the sports bar after the game where Everton host Chelsea, kicking off at 5:30pm. Feel free to grab a drink or two after the game from the bar, and enjoy the game.

It’s another long-midweek away trip for the Jammers, with a fourth attempt at trying to visit Gorleston at the Wellesley Recreational Ground on Wednesday the 25th of March.
