UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP - MORE INFORMATION COMING SOON!

Maldon & Tiptree Football Club is pleased to confirm that the Club has officially entered a new era following the completion of a change of ownership. The new ownership group, comprising Sonny Shahnawaz, Shushel Miah, I. Furtado and Jamil Trofder, has taken control of the Club with a clear ambition: to secure its future, rebuild on strong foundations and put football and community at the heart of Maldon & Tiptree FC.

The new ownership group is entirely independent of the Club’s previous ownership, representing a complete change in the leadership and direction of Maldon & Tiptree FC.

The takeover follows an extremely challenging period for the Club and a complex process behind the scenes. Throughout that process, the priority has been simple: to ensure Maldon & Tiptree FC has a future.

The new owners now intend to build on the talent and commitment already within the Club, while creating opportunities for new players and young talent to develop and flourish.

Off the pitch, there will be an equally strong focus on reconnecting the Club with the people around it. Supporters, volunteers, families, sponsors and local businesses have all played a part in the history of Maldon & Tiptree FC, and the new ownership wants the community to play a central role in its future.

S. Miah, speaking on behalf of the new ownership group, said:
“Today marks a fresh start for Maldon & Tiptree Football Club. There has been a great deal of work behind the scenes to get to this point, but our priority throughout has been to protect the future of the Club.

“We recognise that becoming custodians of a football club carries a responsibility far beyond what happens on the pitch. We want to nurture the talent already here, create opportunities for new talent and build a Club that people are genuinely proud to be part of.

“Central to that will be rebuilding the connection between the Club and its community. We want supporters back through the gates, families to feel welcome, local businesses involved and young people in the area to see Maldon & Tiptree as their football club.

“We aren’t going to make grand promises about what happens next. We will listen, work hard and build sustainably.

“On behalf of Sonny Shahnawaz, I. Furtado, Jamil Trofder and myself, I want to thank everyone who helped secure the future of the Club and, particularly, the supporters who stood by it during a difficult period.

“The past is behind us. This is a new ownership, a new chapter and an opportunity to build something together.
“The hard work starts now.”

Further announcements regarding the Club’s plans, commercial partnerships and community initiatives will be made in due course.
